Places that are often or always damp can be hard to maintain completely free of mold. Six airborne mold samples from the first floor work area and one from outdoors were collected during this visit. 

All analytical results show a much smaller amount of mold spores inside the building than outside. This is the desired outcome, as it is evidence of no indoor fungal amplification. WEC recommends that Alborn Construction replace the exterior window flashing as soon as possible to prevent any more water infiltration. 

After this has occurred, it is recommended to have the owner’s environmental consultant re-test the wood moisture content on the south and southeast walls to ensure it is dry (less than 18 % moisture).
