Water Extraction >> Clean Up Water Damage Carpet

Installation shall be in accordance with an approved design and plan. Details of construction shown on the drawings but not included herein are considered as a part of this specification. Construction activities shall be in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations.SITE PREPARATION Clearing and Clean Up Water Damage Carpet Stripping.

Borrow areas andarea to be occupied by the embankment shallbe cleared of all trees, brush, logs, and sod.The ponded area shall be cleared as noted onthe drawings.Embankment Foundation. All channel banksand sharp breaks shall be sloped to no steeperthan 1 horizontal to 1 vertical. All topsoil Clean Up Water Damage Carpet containing excessive amounts of organicmatter shall be removed.

Loose earth shall not be left on the foundation area to a depthin excess of 6 inches above undisturbed Clean Up Water Damage Carpet foundation material. The surface of thefoundation area shall be thoroughly scarifiedbefore placement of the embankment material.EXCAVATIONCutoff Trench.

The cutoff trench shall beexcavated to the lines and grades shown onthe drawings or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet as staked in the field. Thetrench shall be kept free of standing waterduring backfill operations.Spillway. The completed spillwayexcavation shall conform to the grades, bottom width and side slopes shown on thedrawings.

Outlet Conduit. Trench excavation forinstallation of an outlet conduit shall be madein original ground or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet in compacted fillprovided the bottom of the trench is at ornear undisturbed foundation.

Excess Material. Excavated material excessto construction requirements may be hauledfrom the site or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet placed and shaped behind aberm width equal to the pond depth, but notless than 12 feet from the edge of the excavation. COMPACTED EARTH FILL AND BACK FILL Fill Material.

All fill materials shall beobtained from approved borrow areas andfrom excavations required for other parts ofthe work. The selection, blending, routing, and disposition of materials within theembankment shall be subject to the approvalof the technician. Fill materials shall containno sod, brush, roots, or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet other perishable orunsuitable material.

Cobbles and rockfragments having a maximum dimension ofmore than six inches shall be removed fromthe materials prior to compaction.Placement. The placing and Clean Up Water Damage Carpet spreading of thefill material shall start at the lowest point ofthe foundation.

The fill shall be brought up in approximately horizontal layers parallel tothe axis of the dam and Clean Up Water Damage Carpet of such thickness thatthe required compaction can be obtained withthe equipment used. Fill placed aroundstructures will be brought up atapproximately uniform height on all sides ofthe structure.

Moisture. The moisture content of fillmaterial shall be maintained within the limitsrequired to prevent the adherence of the fillmaterial to the treads/tracks of equipment andensure the crushing and blending of the soilclods.Generally when soil material is squeezed inthe hand it will retain a ball shape, Clean Up Water Damage Carpet but therewill not be free water on the surface.

As faras practicable the material shall be brought tothe proper water content in the borrow pitbefore excavation. Supplemental water, when required, may be applied by sprinklingthe materials on the fill. Uniformdistribution of the moisture shall be obtained by discing, Clean Up Water Damage Carpet blading or other approved methodprior to compaction.

COMPACTION METHODSCompaction shall meet the requirements ofthe method designated and described below:1. Sheepsfoot roller - The maximum layerthickness shall be 8 inches beforecompaction. The roller shall havestaggered, Clean Up Water Damage Carpet uniformly spaced tamping feetand be equipped with suitable cleaners.

The weight of the roller shall be not lessthan 2,500 pounds per foot of width. Themaximum speed of the compactionequipment shall be 3 miles per hour. Theentire surface of each layer placed shallreceive six passes of this equipment toattain the necessary compaction.Adjustment in the number of Clean Up Water Damage Carpet passes may benecessary during construction.

Pneumatic tired equipment - Themaximum layer thickness beforecompaction shall be six inches. A loadedscraper or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet wheel tractor maybe considered apneumatic roller. The wheels of thisequipment must pass over 95 percent of thesurface of each lift before a new lift isplaced.3. Track laying equipment (Bulldozer) Themaximum layer thickness compaction shallbe 4 inches.

The tracks of the equipmentmust pass over 95 percent of the surface ofeach lift before a new lift is placed.Compliance with compaction requirementswill be determined by observation ofperformance for methods 1, 2, and 3. Fill notmeeting the specified requirements shall bereworked or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet removed and replaced withacceptable fill.

EQUIPMENT OPERATIONHeavy equipment shall not be operatedwithin 2 feet of any structure. Hand directedtampers or Clean Up Water Damage Carpet compactors shall be used on areasnot accessible to heavy compactionequipment and within 2 feet of any structure.

Fills compacted in this manner shall beplaced in layers not greater than 4 inches inthickness before compaction and Clean Up Water Damage Carpet shall meetthe same density requirements as for adjacentareas. The passage of heavy equipment will not beallowed over any type of conduit until thecompacted backfill has been placed aminimum of two feet over the top of the pipe.

Compaction of backfill adjacent to structuresshall not be started for at least the followingminimum time interval after placement ofconcrete:Walls & Counterforts 10 daysAntiseep collars, conduits, and Clean Up Water Damage Carpet cantilever outlet bents 3 daysCONCRETEConcrete work under these specificationsshall be constructed to the dimensions, lines, and grades as shown on the drawings.

Thesubgrade for concrete shall be prepared asshown on the drawings or as directed by the Clean Up Water Damage Carpet technician.Concrete compressive strength shall be atleast 4000 psi at 28 days. The mix shall be inaccordance with ASTM C 94 and thisspecification.

When requested by theTechnician the supplier shall furnish design mix and Clean Up Water Damage Carpet cylinder break test data.Cement shall be low alkali Type II Portland cement. Coarse aggregate shall be maximum size of1-1/2 inches per designations of ASTM C 33.
