Hoarding >> Compulsive Hoarding Safety

Until the last few years, people didn't know much about hoarding, the since television has started to show people's homes and the different conditions of Compulsive Hoarding Safety. Now everyone is beginning to take notice, even to the point that some cases have been deemed, illegal because of the obvious threat that he can bring to innocent bystanders. A person could argue that how someone wants to live should not be dictated by another person and especially by a court.

  1. Could you imagine if you were the young child of a Compulsive Hoarding Safety, first off if you lived in that condition your whole life you might think that this is normal. Not until you begin to go to the homes of your schoolmates or other friends and relatives, you began to see how other people kept their house. You ask the question, which is right, of course going into home is clean and tidy would seem like a better way to live. You would come home and ask your mother or father why your house isn't clean and tidy.
  2. Unfortunately for the Compulsive Hoarding Safety, sometimes they think that this is normal and I don't see anything wrong with it. Then the parent gets defensive, maybe restricting you from returning to your friend’s home. If the child is older and begins to think that there is definitely something wrong, they ask their parent if they could help clean the house, but again the parent is offended almost to the point of being combatant. What could this child do?
  3. And what if the living conditions are not only the most undesirable, but are actually dangerous from bacteria from rotted food or mold and mildew. The Compulsive Hoarding Safety situations often have huge amounts of other materials like newspapers that should have been discarded but are in stacks here and there throughout the house. With these newspapers and other flammable items could create an obvious problem is a fire hazard and sometimes the fire hazard is just making it difficult to have a good exit plan in case of a fire.
  4. Other fire hazards are when Compulsive Hoarding Safety neglect to discard other flammable items from around the stove and other cooking areas, as the items begin to accumulate they stack up to the point that they fall over possibly onto a lit stovetop. There are many cases when food items remain in the refrigerator to the point that they begin to mold and decay creating a very unhealthy situation. You would think that a Compulsive Hoarding Safety would know that this is unsafe, but that is the odd thing about this disease, what might seem abnormal to us seems perfectly fine to the person that suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder. And this disorder creates in these individuals the desire to hang onto items that a normal person could not imagine having any kind of value.
