The focus of the manual is pre-World War II, one- and two-story frame houses with wood siding but isapplicable to a broader variety of homes. It seeks to describe the strategies with lowest up-front cost strategies except whenlife cycle cost calculations clearly lead one to a strategy that has greater initial cost.
