Why Exposure to Lead-based Paint Hazard is a Concern? This approach requires certified lead-based paint abatement contractors perform the abatement part of the job.The Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control (OHHLHC) is unique among federal agencies. In 1991, Congress established HUD's Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control to eliminate lead-based paint hazards in America's privately-owned and How To Remove Exterior Lead Paint low-income housing. 

The OHHLHC is unique among federal agencies dealing with lead-based paint hazards, because the Office brings science to bear directly upon America's housing and How To Remove Exterior Lead Paint provides grants for communities to address their own lead paint hazards.The OHHLHC provides funds to state and local governments to develop cost-effective ways to reduce lead-based paint hazards.

The Risk-Based Corrective Action Technical Guidance is published by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources' Hazardous Waste Program.

Updates made to the guidance since the initial version was released in April 2006 have been incorporated into this version of the guidance.
