Animal Damage >> Pigeon Removal

You ever notice, you feed one pigeon and thousands more show up almost magically, it's like how do they know that you have food. It's a trained response, something that they've learned automatically. Pigeons at your home or business can be a huge problem defecating in areas where people walk or sit can transfer bacteria and other poisonous substances. And sometimes it's not easy for a Pigeon Removal once a pigeon population has been established.

  1. The easiest way to perform a Pigeon Removal is to make it difficult for them to roost, roosting is basically areas where they'll sit and sleep overnight. You look at these areas and you can see why pigeons which use them they seem pretty safe out of the reach of their predators. So to keep the pigeons out of these areas like open eaves, or vents they must be screened off using a tough hardware cloth mesh. This way it will not allow them access to their secure positions.
  2. There are other materials that could be used in the task of Pigeon Removal, a person could use plywood or anything that could block up the holes. Unfortunately this could make your home or business unsightly but when you consider the alternative, either way it's not very pleasant. The plywood could be decorated or least painted to make it a little unnoticeable.
  3. Whatever you do, do not feed the pigeons as this will make the Pigeon Removal more difficult or even impossible. Now if this is your business and your business happens to be a food establishment, keeping your customers from feeding the pigeons can be a difficult or impossible task. You could put up signs saying not to feed the pigeons but unfortunately the signs may go unheeded. Some people will actually use poisons to try to control the pigeon population but this is a very dangerous technique. Other birds and animals might get into the poison causing a very ugly situation.
  4. They do make spike strips that could be purchased at pretty much any hardware store, these strips can be placed on ledges, outdoor signs, anywhere that pigeons like to roost. It doesn't take long or much investigating to find out where the Pigeon Removal must take place, just by simply watching you can discover where they like to roost and sit. Anywhere you notice them, a spike strip could be placed.
  5. They also make a product called Bird Proof Gel it comes in a regular sized caulking cartridge and also sold in pretty much any hardware store or on the Internet. It's easy to apply on ledges and windowsills you may not want to put it on areas where people might sit in it. But once these birds step in it, it gives them an uncomfortable sticky feeling on their feet that they will remember and probably never come back. This is a very effective means of Pigeon Removal that seems to be very useful.
