After your building or house has sustained a fire and the fire department has left, leaving your place a soggy smelly mess, now you must face the task of cleaning the Dehumidification. The whole purpose of drying your water damaged electronic equipment is to reduce the amount of time the electronics spent in an abnormally wet state and to return the affected electronics to a satisfactory level of dryness as quickly and safely as possible.

  1. Once the excess water is gathered and removed, dehydration of the remaining water in your Dehumidification must be promoted. Temperatures in the drying surrounding must be maintained to improve the dehydration rate and effectiveness of dehumidification. Upon first evaluation and through the rest of the electronic restoration project, notes must be kept documenting all steps taken to correct the Dehumidification problem. In many cases, more widespread or specific documentation might be required or necessary, a specialist dealing with electronic equipment that was damaged by fire must be contacted with any questions in regards to electronic cleaning requirements.
  3.   4. If possible, electronic remediation activities must be scheduled during off-hours when computer components are less likely to be affected by water damage.
